DESCRIPTION:The 2022 Portland Veterans Job Fair and Stand Down is back in person this year and will take place September 9th at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum Plaza located on 300 N. Winning Way in Portland. The event will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. A full range of resources will be offered at this year’s Stand Down\, including: \n-Employment Fair \n-Health and Wellness Services \n-Military Surplus \n-COVID-19 Vaccines \n-Veteran Intake for Programs & Services \n-Breakfast and Lunch \n-Robust Program featuring 100+ Service Providers & Employers \n-Women & Gender Diverse Services and Lounge \n-Pet Care and Services \n-Haircuts \n-Legal Clinic \nRegistration opens at 8 a.m. on the day of the event and masks are required for all attendees. To learn more\, visit www.pdxstanddown.org. \nThe Portland Veterans Stand Down – Oregon’s largest – honors and supports Veterans\, many of whom are often either experiencing or at risk of homelessness. People who have served in the military access essential supportive resources and services\, employment\, and connections to local\, state\, and federal support. This community-led partnership combines local nonprofits\, government officials\, corporations\, and businesses to welcome more than 400 veterans annually.
